The third season of Murder, She Wrote placed #4 in the yearly television rankings, ahead of The Golden Girls and just behind Cheers - a very good third year effort, and only slightly behind the second season in ratings. First that year was The Cosby Show. Murder, She Wrote aired September 1986 to May 1987.
